The V laser (long-pulse) works directly on blood vessels — the true source of persistent redness. Flushing, dilated capillaries, and lingering red marks are vascular concerns rather than pigment, which is why standard toning alone has its limits. The V laser delivers long-pulse energy that is selectively absorbed by hemoglobin within the vessels, reducing abnormally dilated capillaries. Adding the brightening mode allows redness and dull tone to be addressed in a single treatment.

The long pulse width allows laser energy to be absorbed by hemoglobin in dilated vessels, transferring heat to the vessel walls; the heat-affected abnormal vessels gradually shrink, and redness fades. This selective photothermal action distinguishes abnormal vessels from healthy skin, keeping stress on surrounding tissue low. The brightening mode targets melanin and dermal collagen together, complementing tone and texture.
