Onda, developed by DEKA of Italy, uses microwave energy (Coolwaves, 2.45 GHz) to address the fat layer and skin firmness together. Microwaves pass largely through the skin's surface and generate their heat within the fat layer, so the intended depth can be targeted with minimal surface irritation. It is widely used for body contouring — arms, abdomen, thighs — as well as the face, and cooling built into the handpiece protects the skin's surface throughout the treatment.

2.45 GHz microwave energy passes through the epidermis generating very little heat, then produces intense heat when it reaches the fat cells of the subcutaneous layer. This heat encourages fat cell reduction, while the thermal stimulation reaching the lower dermis prompts collagen contraction and renewal, smoothing the skin's surface. Two handpieces of different depths allow fat and firmness to be targeted separately.
